Terms of Use
The rules, deliverables, and ownership transfer framework that govern our software engineering engagements.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Inherit Code, you agree to these terms. We build custom software solutions under an ownership delivery model.
2. Project Delivery and Intellectual Property
Upon final payment for a milestone or project phase, all intellectual property rights for the custom codebase transfer to the client. Until payment is completed in full, all proprietary code and designs remain the property of Inherit Code.
3. Client Responsibilities
The client must provide necessary access credentials to repositories, cloud infrastructure, and databases needed for the project. The client represents that they have full rights to share these systems and that sharing does not violate third party agreements.
4. Nondisclosure and Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat all business information, credentials, and codebases as confidential. We protect your proprietary information with professional care and do not share details with third parties without written approval.
5. Liability and Warranties
We build software according to rigorous engineering standards. However, once code and infrastructure ownership is transferred to the client, the operational security, maintenance, and hosting become the sole responsibility of the client.
